International Cooperation

SINH has undertaken extensive collaboration with research institutes, universities and companies from approximately 30 countries.

For example, the CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology (PICB), which is a part of SINH, was co-established by CAS and the Max Planck Society (MPG) in 2005. PICB aims to bridge theoretical and experimental research in computational biology, thus solving problems in life science by using computational tools and unveiling life’s secrets through mathematical methods.

Joining hands with their international counterparts, SINH scientists have participated in many collaborative projects. In 2017, 126 researchers traveled abroad for collaborative research and academic exchange. In the mean time, SINH received more than 150 visitors from foreign countries. Each year, SINH hosts three or four international conferences on nutrition, computational biology or human health, creating an open and interactive environment for researchers.
